Each week, we feature a couple from our latest issue.

Finding an officiant to conduct your ceremony can be nerve-wracking. Often, it amounts to asking a total stranger to preside over one of the biggest days in you and your fiancé’s shared life.

Fortunately, Alexandria Theodosopoulos-Plaster and Jesse Plaster found the perfect one for them.

“The officiant took time to ask us personal questions, look through our answers, and then used our answers during our ceremony to tell funny stories or touching moments,” Alexandria says. “The audience really got to know how Jesse and I felt about each other that way, and [it] added a personal touch not normally seen in ceremonies. We were very grateful for all our officiant did for us.”

Other than the ceremony, Alexandria cites the cake-cutting as one of the day’s most memorable moments, thanks in part to a unique aspect: Her grandparents and parents each cut a cake for their respective anniversaries as well.
