Each week, we feature a couple from our latest issue.
Caitie Couper and Yeahwa Hong met in medical school through an organization that helped medical mission trips.
On their third anniversary of dating, Yeahwa and Caitie celebrated with a romantic dinner at her favorite restaurant: Third and Hollywood. They then returned to Caitie’s parent’s house, where her parents had set up candles from the front door leading to the candle-covered back porch.
“He proposed, and I said yes!” says Caitie.
The couple was engaged for six months, until Caitie’s brother married them under an arch a friend built for them as a wedding gift. Both Caitie’s paternal grandmother and stepfather walked her down the aisle.
Caitie’s most memorable moments were the first look outside the courthouse and dancing with all her friends and family.
